Jean-David Collard

I build applied AI products for professional work shaped by regulation and AI-driven systems.

Current focus: CheckIA, the AI-powered workflow operating system for statutory audits in Europe.
My research background is in agent-based modeling, reinforcement learning and game theory.

About me

I am a founder, product leader, and AI researcher focused on applying artificial intelligence to professional work shaped by regulation.

My background combines a PhD in Computer Science, with research in agent-based modeling and reinforcement learning; engineering training in nuclear energy at Arts et Métiers ParisTech and the CEA, France's national research organization for energy and nuclear technologies; and years building AI-driven products in domains shaped by French and European standards: environmental impact, mobility, data privacy, and compliance-heavy operations.

That path led me to co-found CheckIA, where I lead product and AI. We are building the AI-powered workflow operating system for statutory audits in Europe.

Regulation exists for good reasons. Our work is about preserving its intent while making compliance less of a burden on the economy, and turning it into a reliable, intelligent layer in how professional work gets done.

What is CheckIA?

We are building the AI-powered workflow operating system for statutory audits in Europe.

Statutory auditors spend most of their time creating documentation, not auditing. We automate the documentation and compliance workflows required to complete an audit engagement, including workpapers, supporting evidence, engagement files, regulatory documentation, signatures, and audit-ready deliverables.
